Steam Cleaning Orlando

Nothing Cleans, Removes Grease & Gum Like Hot Water

In this blog post I would like to address the topic of hot water commercial pressure washing, steam cleaning and some of the factors that go into it.  I have discussed this topic in earlier posts, but I believe it needs to be revisited from time to time.  A commonly asked question mainly by commercial clients is, “does hot water pressure cleaning or steam cleaning really make a difference”?  The answer is simple, whether it’s chewing gum, oil, grease or heavy foot traffic areas –  hot water is a must have.  Cold water doesn’t even come close to the cleaning effectiveness that hot water does.  In fact old gum, oil and grease can’t be removed adequately, if not at all with cold water.  Hot water also boosts the effectiveness of the soaps and detergents that are used to break down and loosen the petroleum-based products and other contaminates that make up most concrete stains.

Here’s a good example of the effectiveness of using hot water.  Have you ever tried washing your dirty dishes or something that is oily or greasy with cold water?  Not very effective right?  Now do the same with hot water and you will see the major difference.  Hot water pressure washing also allows us to use lower cleaning pressure or less chemicals for most pressure cleaning applications.  This is extremely important when it comes to cleaning a delicate surface or sensitive environment that needs a thorough cleaning.  Water temperatures above 280 degrees is also excellent for sterilizing, disinfecting and killing germs in many commercial property areas like restaurants and other public places.  Cold water is fine for the majority of painted surfaces and most of your residential pressure washing needs.  But, hot water is key for those difficult cleaning projects.  So, if you are in need of a professional pressure washing service in the Orlando area, hot water or not, commercial or residential – give us a call.
