Ultrasonic Blind and Shade Cleaning not only improves the appearance of your window blinds, but also improves the indoor air quality of your home or office environment.  It eliminates biological contaminants such as dust mites, bacteria, odors, smoke/nicotine, pollen, pet dander and other germs that cause allergies.  Ultrasonic cleaning is the most effective cleaning technique for window treatments available today. 

Ultrasonic cleaning can also be used for cleaning light diffusers often found in offices and most commercial buildings.  The light diffusers become discolored and also attract biological contaminants.  Instead of light diffusers being replaced when they become discolored or dirty; they can now be cleaned with ultrasonics.

What is Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning?

Ultrasonics is a method of cleaning your window blinds and shades through the use of sound waves.  It is fast, gentle, efficient, and safe.  No dangerous chemicals are involved in the cleaning process.  Ultrasonics cleans the vanes/slats of the blinds, head rail, as well as the cords, strings and wand.  Your blinds are like new again!

How does the Ultrasonic Blind and Shade Cleaning Work?

Our ultrasonic cleaning tank creates vibrating sound waves in warm water which in turn produce microscopic bubbles that gently remove visible and microscopic dirt particles from an object.  These bubbles are so small allowing every crevice and cavity to be cleaned along with dirt, stubborn stains and biological pollutants.  The ultrasonic cleaning process breaks the static bond with the aid of a mild biodegradable detergent solution.  The blinds are rinsed and then dried.  This leaves your blinds/shades clean and spot free.  Ultrasonic blind and shade cleaning does not scratch, pit or damage items the way conventional cleaning methods can.

Hand dusting creates static electricity.  This attracts dust, dirt and only soils the surface all over again or causes a build-up of allergens.  Have you ever rubbed on the blind surface and noticed a thin layer of dust come off after you just cleaned?  These small contaminants can be inhaled.  Pressure washing and steam cleaning can ruin the blinds’ surface.  Household cleaners can remove paint or stain the blinds.  You can’t effectively clean the intricate parts of your blinds like our ultrasonic cleaning equipment.

What is the cost of this cleaning service?

The cost is based on the size of the window treatment, material, type of blinds (minis, horizontals, verticals, shades, etc.), ceiling height, etc.  The service includes us taking down the blinds, cleaning them with this technologically advanced method, drying them and having them back up in no time.  A discount is offered for those customers that prefer to take down and hang their own blinds.  A discount is also given to commercial customers for large cleaning projects.

Wash Rite has a new mobile trailer fully equipped with water and electric if needed.  This allows us to take down, clean and hang your window treatments onsite same day.  Customers prefer this method over a pick-up and delivery service which could leave your windows uncovered until the following day.
